Shyy (BR)

Either there isn't much online information about this band, or I'm too intoxicated to care about doing the adequate background research. Nevertheless, Shyy is a great band who deserves mention here.

''This project has been conceived to shelter, through the music, the dimension that frees the human imaginary, where it shows to be like a “mental space” of inspiration, creation and shelter of existence sober dimension. The ecstatic images of the world are manipulated and subverted under several shapes into the imagination in order to confront the symmetrical and cold shapes of reality. There’s an ...asynchrony between what is wondered and desired from what it’s called to be and seems to be; moreover the incompatibility between what darkens into the intimacy in contrast to the objectives limitations controlled by speeches and given existence. This way, the quest for freedom assumes several shapes, not always resulting in contemplatives and comfortable results, but also in horror and panic manifestations which affront the borders of good and evil, beauty and ugliness, and the right and wrong. It doesn’t refer to a romantic and fragile conception of imagination or dreams, but a challenge which dares to break limitations, repressions and bring straightly out the most repressed human shapes, doing existence an inconstant aesthetical lapidation.''

It's true that finding informations about Shyy is really difficult. Besides, I don't know if the band still exits... But yes, the few songs from this underground band are quite good and interesting but I need more stuff to have a real opinion !

Too true. I'm hoping that I'm able do order ''The world ends in the end of a journey'' from my local distributor. Must have.

Yeah, they're still around. I don't know when they're releasing this, but a split with dsbm group ...(dotdotdot) is apparently all finished. I don't really know anything beyond that but I have high hopes.

Maaaaan I didn't expect a topic about SHYY here!! Eduardo (Kexo) is my friend, he is an amazing musician and answering the question, yes, they are still active, but I'm not sure if they do gigs or are recording anything these days. I'm very glad you all enjoy their music!
