Explosions In The Skies (United States)

Explosions in the Sky is an American instrumental post-rock band from Texas. The band has garnered popularity beyond the post-rock scene for their cinematic, elaborately developed guitar work, narratively styled instrumentals, what they refer to as "cathartic mini-symphonies," and their enthusiastic and emotional live shows. They primarily play with three electric guitars and a drum kit, although band member Michael James will at times exchange his electric guitar for a bass guitar.

I saw them this year, it's one of my best concert so far...

On of the best concerts of my life was Eits. In a church(!) in Cologne in 2007. What a great sound and atmosphere - epic! It was like one song from the beginning till the end. There was no encore, but one of the members came back on the stage and explained that they gave all their power and spirit in the performance and that the atmosphere will be gone when returning for an encore. And noone blamed then; everyone was like "Oh yes, he's totally right" and went home smiling. Life can be beautiful. Sometimes.
